Choose for the job
| Your goal | Compare | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Reach an egg | Movement and control on the same route | Rarity alone does not measure a clean return |
| Grow ranch cash | The placed pet's displayed cash rate | Read the pet's actual trait and growth state |
| Prepare a Rebirth | The required pet on your reset panel | Do not sell it before deciding on the reset |
| Fill the collection | Discovered entries in the Index | Unknown silhouettes are not a complete pet list |
Read the Pets Index
The Index has Pets, Eggs and Mutations tabs. Pets you have discovered can show names and rarity; missing entries can remain silhouettes. Use that distinction to track what you own and what you still want. Collection progress and reward prompts are separate from the mount's immediate usefulness.
A fair mount test
Compare two pets on the same path without carrying an egg. Start at the same point, finish at the same landmark and repeat the run. Keep weather, growth and mutation effects consistent as far as you can. If one mount is faster in a straight line but harder to turn, test the actual egg-return path before replacing the other.
Food and growth
The Food shop displays item rarity, stock and purchase settings. Feeding can award XP to a pet; a message may report the XP for an entire batch of food. Read the quantity alongside the total before comparing food value. Do not interpret a five-item result as the reward for one item.
Growth, hatch mutations and weather traits can affect the pet you are comparing. Recheck its panel after changing any of them, and keep travel and ranch-income choices separate.
A pet's hatch and weather traits can change the comparison. Keep the named pet required by your next Rebirth panel before clearing ranch space.
