A route estimate compares measured travel with your remaining timer

Can you get the egg home?

Use a measured route and the timer you see on your screen. Keep the distance and speed units consistent.

Enter three positive measured values to see your return estimate. Adjust the reserve for your route.

How to measure the route

Choose a start landmark near the target and an endpoint at your own ranch. Use the same mount and route you intend to use with the egg. If your distance units are metres, enter speed in metres per second; if they are game distance units, use the same units per second. Mixing units produces a wrong answer even when the arithmetic is correct.

Leave room for the part after travel

The handling reserve is your estimate for turns, jumping, dismounting and placing the egg. Five seconds is an editable planning allowance, not a claim about Ride A Pet's egg timer. Increase it when you have obstacles or an uncertain nest interaction. A positive result means the simple model leaves spare time; it does not guarantee the run.

The arithmetic

Travel time = distance ÷ speed. Spare time = remaining timer − travel time − handling reserve. Speed must be positive and every input must be finite. If the result is negative, practise a shorter path, improve your actual movement or choose a target you can bring home.

The Solaris routes and Blackhole and Cherub landmarks identify paths to measure. The volcano guide separates escape timing from ranch-return timing.
